Speech and Swallowing Disorders
The Division of Speech and Language Pathology evaluates and treats patients with speech, voice and swallowing disorders, with specialties in the evaluation and treatment of head and neck cancer and tracheostomy patients, irritable larynx syndrome, chronic cough and paradoxical vocal fold motion. Videostroboscopic laryngeal imaging, voice and swallowing evaluations, and modified barium swallow examinations facilitate the diagnosis and assist in establishing a comprehensive, integrated and individualized treatment plan.
Specialty treatments include tracheoesophageal prosthesis evaluation and fitting, and glossectomy and laryngectomy speech and swallowing rehabilitation, Our team consists of a variety of medical specialties and licensed Speech and Language Pathologists with over fifty years of combined clinical experience in a variety of settings.
