Sisters Program

The “Sisters Program” is an international exchange program in which the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Wayne State University shares information with international colleagues (residents and/or fellows) who rotate for a short-term through the department.  Arrangements have been established with the Department of Otolaryngology between the School of Medicine, Buenos Aires, Argentina, School of Medicine, Pamplona, Spain, and the School of Medicine of Cordoba, Argentina. Wayne State faculty are also invited from time to time to visit and teach at one of the participating institutions.

Arrangements can also be made for speech pathologists to attend the Lakeshore Professional Voice Center as well as Wayne State University facilities.

Residents and faculty choosing to participate in this program will have to pay for their own expenses.  Arrangements can occasionally be made for visiting professors and residents to stay at the DMC International Housing Apartments.

Dr. Cristina Jackson-Menaldi, Ph.D., Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology, is in charge of making arrangements for the program, and for exchange: (586)779-7610.
